Operation Siren is a new combat area that is independent from the main story and includes multiple different zones for players to explore. Players must have commander level 60 or higher to play Operation Siren.

Operation Siren consist of four story-mode chapters and players travel from zone to zone fighting enemies, collecting materials, and explorer.

Mechanics[]

Action Points[]

Instead of Oil players use Action Points (AP) to enter zones and issuing Navigation Orders. Action Points have the following details:

  • APs naturally regenerate at a rate of 1 per 10 minutes
  • APs may be purchased 5 times per week for Oil
  • APs may be refilled with Action Point Refill items:
    • Action Point Refill (S) - 20 APs
    • Action Point Refill (M) - 50 APs
    • Action Point Refill (L) - 100 APs
    • Action Point Refills can be purchased occasionally from docks in different zones and earned as rewards from caches or defeated Promoted "Pawns".
Action Point Costs
Corruption Entry Cost Safe Cost* Enemy Level
1 10 5 62 - 68
2 20 10 72 - 78
3 30 15 82 - 88
4 40 20 92 - 98
5 60 30 102 - 108
6 80 40 112 - 118

* Once a zone has been cleared, its Action Point entry cost will halved.

Zones[]

Players will be presented with a geographical representation of the North Atlantic Ocean, divided into multiple zones. Players may chose an adjacent zone and tap to enter it, provided they have enough Action Points.

Defeating all the enemies in a zone will clear it and make the zone as "Safe", halving its entry cost.

Each zone also have 5 explorable objectives, that award one star each. Each star earned will also reward materials and items.

Map Features[]

  • Weather
    • Ocean currents: Stepping on these tiles will move the fleet in the direction of the arrows. On normal maps there will be a hidden Adaptive Tuning reward nearby, which can be revealed using Scan Mode.
    • Ice: A fleet that steps onto an ice tile will continue traveling until it either exits ice or hits an obstacle, including other fleets. On normal maps there will be a hidden Adaptive Tuning reward nearby, which can be revealed using Scan Mode.
  • Traps
    • Maelstrom
    • Burning Seas - Stepping on this tile causes the fleet to take damage for several turns.
    • EMP - This tile will either cause the fleet to be unable to move more than one tile for 3 turns or will move the fleet randomly for 3 turns.
    • Sheer Cold - Freezes player's fleet for 1 turn. A 5x5 freezing area can be produced if wanting to "procedure the materials" of a special loot node in a siren rally point mission, to which the fleet moves 1 tile at a time until escaping the trap. This trap can freeze a moving siren (capital fleet, etc.).
  • Siren devices
    • Weather Control Device: Standing on this device will remove weather anomalies on the map.
    • Siren Communication Device: Found in dangerous zones. While active, this will spawn enemy fleets every other turn. Spawned fleets from the Siren Communications Device do give XP and Operation Coins. Moving to this point and occupying will destroy it.
    • Siren Rally Point: Found in Obscured zones. While active, this will spawn enemy fleets. Spawned fleets do not give XP or rewards. Moving to this point and occupying will defeating the defending fleet will destroy it.
    • Lighthouse: For the cost of 1 Energy Storage Device, this will fully reveal the entire zone, similar to a Request Recon.
    • Siren Scanning Device: These can be activated at least three times. Each Scanning Device only counts once towards exploration objectives. When occupying the Siren Scanning Device with a fleet the following options become available:
      • Use 1 Energy Storage Device to locate hidden enemies.
      • Use 2 Special Item Tokens to locate hidden supplies.
    • Siren Data Logging Tower. These can be used once. There are two options; either counts towards exploration objectives. When occupying the Siren Data Logging Tower with a fleet the following options become available:
      • Use 1 Energy Storage Device. This will increase one of your Adaptive Tactics.
      • Smash it. This "alerts the Sirens". Intercepting them gives you resources (Operation Coins, Special Item Tokens, sometimes AP refills) Evading them does nothing, but you can come back and intercept them.
    • Energy Matrix: These need to be carried back to their corresponding tile by a fleet. In Obscured Zones sometimes a box with four platforms will appear, with four Energy Matrices visible on radar or scanner. A single fleet can hold any number of Energy Matrices.

Navigation Orders[]

Fleet Deployment[]

Only usable in secure port area, Fleet Deployment allows you to change which characters and Meowfficers will participate in Operation Siren.

Fleet Deployment costs zero Action Points but will cost 99 Action Points to use again immediately. This cost will slowly go back down to zero over 24 hours.

Regroup and Rest[]

Issuing this order will repair your ships to full HP and fully restore their resolve in additional to clearing the Tolls of War debuff. This order costs 50 Action Points. Additionally, fleets can be fully repaired in a Port for Operation Supply Coins with no Action Point cost.

Request Recon[]

Request Recon will fully reveal all tiles in the current zone. Initially, this order costs zero Action Points but will cost 10 Action Points to use again immediately. This cost will return to zero after 30 minutes.

Submarine Support[]

Issuing this order will deploy your submarine fleet in the current zone. You must have already created a valid submarine fleet to issue this order. Once deployed, the submarine fleet will function identically to a normal submarine fleet.

This order initially costs zero Action Points to use but will cost 39 Action Points to use again immediately. This cost will return to zero over an hour.

Combat[]

In Operation Siren there are several new systems that change combat.

Enemy Stat Boosts[]

All enemies gain stat boosts in the following areas:

  • Offense Boost: Increases the enemy's damage by 1% for each point
  • Survival Boost: Increases the enemy's health by 1% for each point
  • Combat Interference: Decreases your fleet's healing by 1% for each point

These enemy stat boosts are countered by your Adaptive Tuning stats

  • Adaptive Tuning - Offense: Each point decreases the enemy's Offense Boost stat
  • Adaptive Tuning - Survivability: Each point decreases the enemy's Survival Boost stat
  • Adaptive Tuning - Tactics: Each point decreases the enemy's Combat Interference stat

Each point in an Adaptive Tuning stat will directly decrease the corresponding enemy boost stat by 1%. Your Adaptive Tuning stats can reduce the enemy's Offense and Survivability as low as 30%, and the Combat Interference boost can be reduced to 0%. Is an example needed here, please comment in the Comments Section at the bottom.

Increases to your Adaptive Tuning stats can be earned from:

  • Completing story chapters
  • Purchasing Tuning Samples at ports or from the "mysterious vendor"
  • Clearing a sector
  • Rewarded from random events in a zone
  • Defeating a Promoted "Pawn" enemy

Sinking / Being Defeated[]

The other major change from normal gameplay is that players' fleets and ships cannot be sunk or destroyed. If a ship in the player's fleet reaches 0 HP, after combat they will be automatically revived to 10% HP but given the "damaged" debuff. This debuff disables all of a ship's skills and can be removed using the "Regroup and Rest" Navigation Order or using a Port's repair function. Using a Repair Kit from your inventory will not remove this debuff.

If a fleet losses combat, it will receive the "Low Resolve" debuff. This debuff can stack up to 3 times and reduces Firepower, Torpedo, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Anti-Air, and Evasion by 10% per stack. The Low Resolve debuff can be completely removed by winning battles with any fleet or using the "Regroup and Rest" Navigation Order. Using a Repair Kit from your inventory will not remove this debuff.
